 Obtaining A Birth Certificate

Ok, I am recently pregnant and need to apply for medicaid however they require a copy of a Birth Certificate, I'm not sure how to go about getting this as I was born in Bermuda and have never really needed it til now. Do any of you know whether I need to contact the Bermuda government or if I need to conact the consulate?

I am writing to inquire how to go about obtaining a birth certificate for for my father John Peniston. My paternal family knowledge is limited so please find whatever I do have:

John Henry Peniston
John Peniston/father
Mother's name unknown to me
date of birth: February 4, 1921
Birthlace: Bermuda (to the best of my knowledge)
